STICKY RICE
Take Out

If you are looking to order up something hot and spicy from the menu of Canadian rock and roll bands, look no further than Toronto-based garage band, Sticky Rice. This high-energy chick trio have been serving up their punk rock stylings for over three years, and are ready to unleash their debut CD, Take Out, released by Bobby Dazzler Records.

Their debut CD, Take Out, shouts out Sticky Rice’s straightforward rock and roll style. Produced by Toronto’s own Sir Ian Blurton, the taste of Sticky Rice is reflected in songs like "Defenses Down" and "Champion", chock full of chunky guitar riffs, meaty bass lines, and savory drum beats. "The Rice Chant" whets our appetite for more with lyrics like, "Sushi, congee, and risotto, eat your rice, that’s our motto!". "The Weed Song" explains the driving motivation behind the band - they are here to rock, but they are also here to have a blast.

Bjork's "Pagan Poetry"

Can I tell you about how much Recycling sucks in Toronto?
Good. If you put a box out, people steal the box, if you put
clear plastic bags out then the Recycling goons think its
garbage and don't pick it up. So you end up calling them to
come pick stuff up, every week. Yet another winning triumph
for Mr. Mel's Angels.

Irene Jacob's new film is going to have to have a
title change they've called it Spy Games (just like the
Brad Pitt one). Doesn't matter it'll be in the theatres
for a week anyway. What a waste of a great talent.

Saw Waking Life on Tuesday. What a great film.
But why do you have to have the background moving
all the time, made me a bit seasick about a quarter
of the way through the film. Love the guy with the
boat car though, same guy as the one in Slacker
who walks down the street from the cafe speaking.
Closer to Slacker than any of Linklater's other films.

Constantines ripped.

A forum for free-flowing ideas and as yet unrealized creativity. Also I don't have to have all those pesky post-its around all the time.
